September Drug Store Purchase Review pt2!
Saw this BB eye cream in Superdrug and immediately wanted to try it out. My GOSH under eye concealer was working great but I really want something with added restorative benefits, not just a concealer.
I was going to do a full post with before/after eye shots but after some experimenting I’ve discovered this cream was making my eyes have a horrible itchy and swollen reaction. So that’s unfortunately a big negative point, especially as I’m someone who isn’t prone to sensitive skin/product reactions.
That aside I have to say I’m not that impressed with the product anyway. Superdrug have finally let me down! :O
Like a lot of under eye products it’s a brush tip - however unlike click based applicators you need to squeeze the tube to release this cream which results in a really messy brush tip and product application that’s very hard to control.
While the colour is true to it’s “light” description (a rarity as most fellow pale folk will know) it’s very sheer for a concealer! It barely does anything to hide my dark shadows and doesn’t wear well throughout the day either. And to top it off it just seems to accentuate any lines or puffy bags. Booo!

Superdrug Face Mask Review
I am officially broke this month so no nice pictures or reviews of fancy make up but I do have a couple of drugstore items to natter on about.
The first of which is this super little face mask. I swear I saw these reviewed earlier in the year but I’ve only just seen them in stores and the website still has them marked up as new. Who knows! Who cares: whether they are new or not go out and try one!
There are 6 in the range which covers all skin types and they’re great value at £2.59. And don’t forget Superdrug are totally vegan too!
The Pros:
- Instantly helped clear skin up
- Skin left feeling smooth and refreshed
- Drastically cleaned out and minimised my pores which was a nice surprise!
The Cons:
- Smells a bit funky
- Formula is quite fluid so it’s hard to get good coverage without using a lot
- It’s one of those masks that sets your face like concrete whilst it’s on. Don’t try talk or pull any kind of facial expression.
- The Dead Sea mud does a great job of drawing out my excess oil but I feel exfoliating qualities are missing from this for it to be a real 5* player.

Here’s how I get a perfect complexion in just 3 steps! I use the Wayne Goss method of foundation application. Step 1 - apply primer. Lately I’ve been using the @CoverFX Calming Primer. Step 2 -apply setting powder! I know I know, you’d think foundation would be next, but trust me. Step 3 - apply the complexion perfection product. I use the Cover FX CC Cream. Visit www.coverfx.com to pick these up! #vegan #crueltyfree #beauty #bbloggers #makeup #summer #instagood #bestoftheday #shopkind #coverfx #cccream #foundation

Setting powder before foundation? Will have to try this!

Top to bottom, left to right:Kat Von D Studded Kiss lipstick in Lovecraft you were warned that these would be cropping up!

Smashbox Photo Finish Light Primer after the news that maybe Smashbox are ok and cruelty free after all I’m desperate to try this primer! It always comes recommended and well reviewed for those with oily skin.

BareMinerals BareSkin Pure Brightening Foundation This is new from BareMinerals this year and I’m very intrigued about it. Skin care serum and mineral foundation in one, sort of like a super bb I guess?

Mask of Magnaminty I used to use this allll the time but had to cut it out as I just couldn’t afford it on a regular basis. My skin is really starting to miss it though so might have to cave and get a new pot.
